Apple Sauce

500 MILLILITRES

Ingredients

Cooking apples                                                       500 g

Water                                                                       50 ml

Sugar

Method

  1. Wash, peel, core and quarter the apples.
  2. Place them in a saucepan with the water, cover with a lid, bring to the boil and simmer until cooked.
  3. Pass through a fine sieve, reheat and serve.
  4. If the apples are excessively tart, sugar may be added.

Note:  This sauce is served with pork.
